The new album 'Melancholia Hymns' set for release this week on Friday Sept 15th with Easy life

After months of hard work we now have a bulletproof solution that gives our customers the best building platform.ARCANE ROOTS today release their brand new single 'Indigo' from forthcoming sophomore album 'Melancholia Hymns' (released through Easy Life on Friday Sept 15th). The track was premiered last night (Sept 11th) on Radio 1 with Annie Mac as the Hottest Record (the bands 2nd Hottest Record in a row, following last single 'Off The Floor'),

The band have already released singles 'Curtains', 'Matter' and recent
Annie Mac Hottest Record In The World 'Off The Floor'.

Front man Andrew Groves explains a bit more about the song:
"Indigo is the favourite colour of the late Dr Oliver Sacks, a British neurologist & author who died from liver cancer in 2015 at the age of 82. A brilliant mind, infamous for his writing & unique approach towards both his patients & his own neurological disorders, he once hallucinated the colour indigo after self medicating in an attempt to understand his patients own hallucinations better. Shortly before his death, he wrote about his life in great detail along with his intense personal struggles regarding his sexuality, which frequently tinged his illustrious life with great sadness & despair. Dr Sacks' final notes truly feel like the first intellectualisation of life & his imminent death; the beauty, the regrets, the cherished and the great unknown.

Written with such candor & grace, his final thoughts and feelings really resonated with me, but yet also left me filled with sadness for the way in which he suffered for his work and his sexuality.
Indigo is somewhat of a tribute to Dr Oliver Sacks, Alan Turing and the other great minds of our time who furthered humanity so far, yet suffered so much at the hands of society. We benefitted so much from their brief time on earth, yet gave so very little in return."

Following on from the bands recent triumph at Reading and Leeds Festival, and due to overwhelming demand, the band have also announced an extra 6 UK headline dates in October to add to the current set currently already on sale. The band will also be on tour accross Europe ahead of these dates, with many of these shows either sold out or close to it already. For these extra UK shows, Fizzy Blood and Gold Key will support, and all dates are below

Brand new album 'Melancholia Hymns' set for release September 15th

The mighty ARCANE ROOTS release their huge, brand new single 'Off The Floor', along with this new video, which you can watch - HERE!
The single is available on all digital streaming and downloadable platforms from today, but will also be made available to everyone that has pre-ordered the new 'Melancholia Hymns' album (digitally) as an instant grat track. The record is released on September 15th through Easy Life/Red Essential, and includes already released singles 'Curtains' and 'Matter'.

Front-man and guitarist Andrew Groves explains a little bit about the meaning behind the song -  "Off The Floor was the very first time we had ever openly written about politics. Current world events had become an almost unavoidable weight over us during the writing of Melancholia Hymns, and where it would usually be something we would shy away from, it felt like now more than ever that we had a duty to speak up. Never before had it felt like something could actually change and that we had a responsibility to encourage people to vote and make a difference. Musically, we wanted to write something that felt at home on a festival stage but was structured more electronically, with a constant build towards as big of a riff/drop as we could dream up. "
