ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE 'VITAMIN C' - OUT NOW + OCTOBER UK HEADLINE DATES

Liverpool’s peppy fuzz-pop supremos Clean Cut Kid today announce details of their new single and a headline tour in October. The four-piece are one of the most exciting breakthrough bands in the UK with an inventive take on anthemic guitar-pop. ‘Vitamin C’ is available on all digital partners through the band’s own Babe Magnet Records/Polydor and coincides with the announcement of a 10-date nationwide headline tour in October. Clean Cut Kid are also announced as special guests of The Killers at British Summer Time in Hyde Park on July 8th.

‘Vitamin C’ is a bounding three-minute slice of jubilant art-pop, armed with a triumphant chorus and a gliding, undeniable groove. It has already exceeded 2 million streams.

‘Vitamin C’ is taken from Clean Cut Kid’s exhilarating debut album ‘Felt’ which was released in May to rave reviews. It showcases a band full of creativity, who mix classic melodicism with a sonic adventurousness. It was recorded at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios with Blossoms and The Coral producer Rich Turvey, London's Konk Studios with Arcade Fire collaborator Craig Silvey and London's Voltaire Studios with Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Wolf Alice). What emerges is a contemporary indie-pop record filled with defiant pop hooks and emotionally-charged fragility.

Clean Cut Kid recently wrapped a nationwide headline tour as well as a run of dates supporting Michael Kiwanuka. With the same relentless touring spirit that has seen them play 145 shows over the past 18 months, the band have announced a 10-date headline tour in October

New Single 'Leaving You Behind' Here Too!

Liverpool’s thrilling fuzz-pop quartet Clean Cut Kid have announced details of their much-anticipated debut album. A string of exhilarating singles have given snapshots of their brilliance and now comes a record to match. 'Felt' will be released on May 5th through Babe Magnet Records/Polydor and is available for pre-order from today. It will be preceded by a new single, 'Leaving You Behind', which has already received a Hottest Record accolade.

Clean Cut Kid are Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson. The four-piece are one of the most exciting breakthrough bands in the UK, their inventive take on anthemic guitar-pop the product of intense writing and rehearsal sessions at the band's practice space in Liverpool. Their five singles so far – ‘Vitamin C’, ‘Runaway’, ‘Pick Me Up’, ‘Make Believe’ and ‘We Used To Be In Love’ – have introduced a band full of creativity, who mix classic melodicism with a sonic adventurousness. 'Felt' was recorded at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios with Blossoms and The Coral producer Rich Turvey, London's Konk Studios with Arcade Fire collaborator Craig Silvey and London's Voltaire Studios with Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Wolf Alice).

What emerges is a contemporary indie-pop record filled with defiant pop hooks and emotionally-charged fragility. The band say that "the concept of ‘Felt’ is the timeline of a break-up from a relationship falling apart as you reach the end of the A side of the record; to flip into the B side where we emerge from the breakup and back into a new relationship." It's a record that drags the listener through the rollercoaster of emotions experienced during the end of one relationship and the beginning of another, songs with a voice that is refreshing and honest in a generation of emotional detachment. 'Felt' is an album that deals with the hard truths and uplifting highs of modern love.

Clean Cut Kid will embark on a headline tour in April and May and will also head out in support of Brit Award-nominated troubadour Michael Kiwanuka in May. The dates for the band’s headline tour are:

5/02/16    Clean Cut Kid reveal new single 'Pick Me Up' ahead of Feb/Mar UK tour dates

Fresh from their triumphant performance on the BBC R1 Live Lounge, Clean Cut Kid have revealed their brand new single 'Pick Me Up'.

The band will also be joining Fickle Friends on several regional UK dates through February and March followed by three special headline dates - full details below.

‘Pick Me Up’ builds on the thrilling momentum of the four-piece’s previous two singles. ‘Vitamin C’ and ‘Runaway’ introduced a band brimming with unshakeable hooks and full of imagination, songs that demanded your attention from the first second to the last. Time spent hunkered down in their Liverpool HQ honing their sound and endlessly writing and re-writing has resulted in Clean Cut Kid emerging fully-formed with a truckload of great songs at their disposal. ‘Pick Me Up’ is a lolloping anthem that continues in that vein. "As the band grows, our lives seem to become more and more hectic by the hour!” says Mike Halls, “Pick-Me-Up is a song about that calming voice that comes poking through the background noise of life: pulling you instantly back to earth."  You can imagine ‘Pick Me Up’’s infectious chorus kicking off in a sweatbox venue just as easily as you can envisage it prompting a mass singalong at a festival.

The group appeared on Radio 1’s Live Lounge last week and will embark on a UK tour throughout February and March as special guests to Fickle Friends. Their own headline tour will follow in March. Clean Cut Kid spent much of 2015 cutting their live teeth at various festivals throughout the UK but with both Google and Apple Music earmarking them for success in 2016, they are ready for the step up. The songs are there, the stage is set.
