Created from the almost cult-like friendships that can only be formed during teenage years, Fieh have been moulding their sound and style since they were 16-years-old. Citing Erykah Badu and
D’Angelo as their main influences, the band are bound by their collective love of R&B, jazz and soul, and that sense of unity shines through in their music. It’s an unbreakable bond, the work of
a close-knit gang invested in real music and making a statement.
The band was founded by 22-year-old singer and multi-instrumentalist Sofie, who was first joined by classmates Ola Øverby on and Andreas Rukan on bass. Alongside the original trio, there’s Jørgen
Kasbo on guitar, Edvard Synnes on keys, Lyder Øvreås Røed on horns and trumpet, Thea Arnesdotter Lien on backing vocals and Solveig Wang on backing vocals and moog.
The band’s ambitious live performances quickly gained industry-wide notoriety and filled the 2018 calendar year with such festivals as Reeperbahn, Øya Festival and North Sea Jazz, as
well as recognition from the likes of Elton John who featured them on his Beats 1 Rocket Hour radio show. The band is now gathering recognition on an international scale with their signing to the
legendary Decca Records.
After five years of writing, playing and honing their sound, this autumn Fieh has ten fierce songs to unveil on a debut album that shimmers with energy. The record delivers the sound of a
group of friends pouring their heart and soul into something they truly believe. The band are a revelation: gifted instrumentalists who hark back to the age of smoky clubs, passionate fans, and
musicians who live and breathe their craft.
But first, ‘25’ is here to introduce all to the wonderful world of Fieh.
