Share new video "Fading Out"

Announce headline UK tour for Feb 2018

Following on from a hugely successful support tour with Placebo, Husky Loops are sharing their new video for their recent single "Fading Out", taken from their new EP, which is out now. The band will be playing shows with Spoon & Placebo this month and have also just announced a headline UK tour for February 2018.

Directed by Tom Ringsby and filmed across London, the "Fading Out" video perfectly matches the enticing, punchy sounds of Husky Loops. Tom Rindsby & the band said the following about the video: "Inspired by the rhythm and the mechanical guitar riffs, we began transforming the 'Fading Out' into visual ideas of movement. Eventually we involved actor Sam Adamson in creating an abstract interpretation staged in the urban context the Loops daily inhabit."

Husky Loops have gained a lot of attention for their ferocious live show, having previously played hugely successful support slots for The Kills, Sunflower Bean, Yak & Estrons. Full upcoming live dates are below.

HUSKY LOOPS

London-based trio share new single ahead of EP out this Friday!

With their new EP, 'EP2' set for release this Friday (Oct 6th), Husky Loops are sharing new single "Fading Out'" from the record. The band are also set to tour with Placebo this month, as well as playing shows with Superfood & Tigerclub, which will then be followed by a full headline tour across the UK in November.

Singer Danio explains the thoughts behind the new song: "'Fading Out' is about leaving home. It’s open to interpretation, like most of our lyrics, but the song was inspired by both break ups and Mediterranean migrants. Musically it was really influenced by hip hop, I was listening to a lot of Pusha T and Jeru the Damaja and it’s all about rhythm”

Share new video "Girl Who Wants To Travel The World" - Announce headline UK tour

New EP 'EP2' due Oct 6th

With their new EP due Oct 6th, Husky Loops are sharing the new video for their recent single "Girl Who Wants To Travel The World". The trio have also just announced a headline tour for this November.

Director Tom Ringbsy explains the visuals "The video is based around a realisation called Sonder. That each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own - populated with their own ambitions, worries and inherent craziness - a million stories that continue invisibly around you in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee or staring at your phone on the bus.

The overcast sky fit the surprisingly optimistic track from Husky Loops, who have agreed to score my forthcoming Where’s Wally feature film project."

HUSKY LOOPS

Announce new EP & share first single 'Girl Who Wants To Travel The World'

EP set for release Oct 6th

UK tour this October supporting Placebo

After months of hard work we now have a bulletproof solution that gives our customers the best building platform.

Having released their debut EP earlier this year, London-based trio Husky Loops return with news of their second EP, suitably entitled 'EP2', which is set for release October 6th. The first single from the record "Girl Who Wants To Travel The World" is streaming online now and the band are set to support Placebo on tour this October.

Made up of Danio (vocals & guitar), Pietro (drums & samples) and Tommaso (bass), Husky Loops first met at school in Bologna, Italy. Fifteen years into the future, the trio relocated to London in order to continue their studies at Music College and the Royal College of Art, at which time they joined forces to form their ultimate creation.

Following the release of their debut EP earlier this year on Alcopop Records, which gained interest and attention for its unorthodox take on modern rock music, the band went straight back into writing and preparing for their next record. Husky Loops are not ones for convention, and challenge themselves to learn something new every time they rehearse and jam. The band are set on pushing their sound to the sonic limits, twisting and distorting the music they make in order to tell different stories and journey into unexplored territories.

Share new video "The Man" - Announced to support Placebo on UK tour this October

Husky Loops' are sharing a new video for standout track "The Man", taken from their recent debut self-titled EP, which came out earlier this year via Alcopop Records. As well as this, the trio have just been announced to supportPlacebo on their 20th anniversary tour across the UK this October.

Director Maximillian Hartley explains the thoughts behind "The Man" video:

"Our goal with 'The Man' was to find a balanced mix between documentary and fiction. Most footage was gathered by following the band during and after the shooting of music videos, rehearsals and daily life. The use of colour, attention to detail and digital techniques allowed us to achieve a collage of locations and characters that are carefully arranged to echo one another"

HUSKY LOOPS share new video 'Tempo'!

Debut EP out now via Alcopop Records! UK tour dates announced!

With their debut EP out now via Alcopop Records, London-based trio Husky Loops are sharing their new video for standout track 'Tempo'. The band are set to play Live at Leeds, Dot to Dot, The Great Escape and various other UK shows this May, including a London show at The Shacklewell Arms on May 6th.

Speaking about the video, director Tom Ringsby & Pietro of the band said "We wanted to work with the theme of mortality and the universality of it: how we are all living under the ticking clock. In our research we found Chronophobia, the clinical term for a fear of time. This informed all choices from script, casting, locations and design.

The dramatic film techniques and imagery, drawn from pop thriller and horror cinema, make the pill easier to digest, while emphasising the mounting pressure building at the back of our heads.

They say the key to contentment is to live in the present, but right now’s a pretty fucked up place to be."

New single 'Tempo'. Debut EP due April 7th via Alcopop Records! Tour dates announced incl/ The Kills support in Europe!

Ahead of their debut EP release on April 7th via Alcopop Records, Italian-born, now London-based trio Husky Loops are sharing a new slice of their riff-heavy, art-rock sounds with new single 'Tempo'.

Offering some insight behind the new single, the band said "'Tempo' is a song about running out of excuses and time, recorded live to capture the bands' live energy. The inexorable flow of life was of inspiration to compose a track which is defined by repetition and awkward patterns, in which groove is the key.”

Made up of Danio (vocals & guitar), Pietro (drums & samples) and Tommaso (bass), Husky Loops first met at school in Bologna, Italy. Fast forward fifteen years to a relocation to London to study at music college and the Royal College of Art, they joined forces to form their ultimate creation, which started just over two years ago. Since putting their debut track ‘Dead’ online at the start of 2016 they immediately gained interest and attention for their unorthodox take on modern rock music, which was followed by their last single 'Fighting Myself' late in 2016.

Drawing personal inspirations from everything from rock to hip-hop, naming influences all the way from Black Sabbath to Aphex Twin to D'Angelo, the band's forthcoming self-titled EP reflects the hard work and endless jamming sessions the three have participated in over the past 12 months.Explaining how they came to choose the name Husky Loops, the band explained “it means rough loops: it stems from our fascination with repetition, playing loops from a rock perspective”. They combined various words, which they thought suited them best, landing on Husky Loops - a homage to their fresh, DIY take on rich, yet simultaneously raw riffs.

With hugely successful tour supports with Sunflower Bean, Yak & Estrons, Husky Loops have gained a lot of attention for their ferocious live show and have recently been announced to The Kills in Europe and will also play The Great Escape Festival this May.

'Husky Loops' EP will be available April 7th via Alcopop Records. The vinyl includes a bonus track 'Huskyesque', with a limited run of only 300. This is printed on reverse board and includes two double sided posters.

HUSKY LOOPS announce debut self-titled EP & share new video 'Fighting Myself'.

EP out April 7th via Alcopop Records! UK tour dates announced!

London-based art-rock trio Husky Loops have signed to Alcopop Records and announced their debut self-titled EP, due April 7th. The band are sharing a new video for their latest single 'Fighting Myself'.

Directed by Tom Ringsby, the dark, DIY visuals match Husky Loops sludgy, incongruous indie perfectly. In the words of the director "Husky Loops are my favourite new band. I just had to document them right now, before they were everybody’s."

Made up of Danio (vocals & guitar), Pietro (drums & samples) and Tommaso (bass), Husky Loops first met at school in Bologna, Italy. Fast forward fifteen years to a relocation to London to study at music college and the Royal College of Art, they joined forces to form their ultimate creation, which started just over just over two years ago. Since putting their debut track ‘Dead’ online at the start of 2016 they immediately gained interest and attention for their unorthodox take on modern rock music, which was followed by their last single 'Fighting Myself' late in 2016.

Drawing personal inspirations from everything from rock to hip-hop, naming influences all the way from Black Sabbath to Aphex Twin to D'Angelo, the band's forthcoming self-titled EP reflects the hard work and endless jamming sessions the three have participated in over the past 12 months. Explaining how they came to choose the name Husky Loops, the band explained "we wanted to choose a name that no one else had". They deliberated combining various words, which they though suited them best, landing on Husky Loops - a homage to their fresh, DIY take on rich, yet simultaneously raw riffs.

With hugely successful tour supports with Sunflower Bean and Yak, Husky Loops have gained a lot of attention for their ferocious live show and have recently been announced to support Estrons on their UK tour this February and will also selected as one of The Great Escape Festival's First 50, to play this May.
