‘Body Lose’ swiftly follows the unveiling of an official video for the album’s title track which was created by the band themselves along with help from their fans. Meadowlark called upon their fans to send in postcards with messages to those who have impacted their life in a significant way, good or bad.

Overwhelmed with the reaction to their call out and armed with a collection of personal and emotional messages, the band then set to work selecting the postcards that resonated best with the concept of the song and built the resulting video around these messages. The project as a whole has acted as a cathartic experience for Meadowlark and their fans alike.

Meadowlark will release their debut album ‘Postcards’ on June 30th via All Points (previously known as Believe Recordings). The Bristol based duo released their debut EP in 2015 and spent 2016 sharing a series of standalone singles, steadily gaining themselves an enviable reputation for their captivating pop melodies and lush production.

Meadowlark have announced details of a new EP of late night reworks entitled ‘Nocturnes’ for release on March 10th via Believe Recordings (James Vincent McMorrow, Gavin James). The ‘Nocturnes’ EP is a collection of cinematic versions of previously released Meadowlark singles including ‘Eyes Wide’, ‘Headlights’, ‘Satellite’, as well as a cover of the Sugababes track, ‘About You Now’. The late night reworks were recorded with a live string quartet to accompany Meadowlark’s own Kate McGill on grand piano & vocals and Dan Broadley on acoustic guitar.

Ahead of the EP’s release, Meadowlark will support Amber Run on an extensive UK tour throughout February. Full listings below.

Talking about their choice of cover track, Kate McGill explains: "Sugababes were always a guilty pop pleasure and ‘About You Now’ was no exception, but underneath its cheesy noughties pop front the chords and melodies speak of a darker tone which is everything we love about songwriting."

Speaking about the recording of ‘Nocturnes’, Dan Broadley shares: “We've always written our songs in a raw and honest way that focusses solely on the melodies and chords before adding any production to them. ‘Nocturnes’ was an opportunity for us to reimagine those early versions of our songs, in their naked and premature state, so brittle that they feel like they could snap at any moment. One of the meanings of the word 'nocturne' is "a short composition inspired by, or evocative of, the night". This felt fitting since almost all of our songs were written and recorded during the darker hours of the day, when the world was asleep and there was nothing to distract us.”
