DEBUTS AISHA TYLER-DIRECTED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “TOO LATE” – OUT NOW

FORTHCOMING EP ‘THE TEAROOM’ OUT MARCH 8  CONFIRMED TO APPEAR AT SXSW

Fresh off the release of her debut EP, ‘ The Tearoom ’ [This Fiction] and a successful trip to Austin, TX for the  SXSW Music Festival  last month where she dazzled in a series of official showcases, British musician  Minke  returns today with her music video for “ Too Late ,” directed by actress, comedian and director,  Aisha Tyler  and starring actor,  Jean-Luc Bilodeau  (ABC Family’s ‘Baby Daddy’). The video premiered earlier today on  Billboard , who went on to describe the track as “sparkling” and “pulsating.”

Talking about the new video,  Minke  says, "The ‘Too Late’ video was a joy to be a part of, mainly due to the limitless talents of Aisha who thought of the concept, directed and edited the video,” she gushes. “I couldn’t have asked for a more talented and supportive screen partner in Jean Luc to bring this broken relationship alive and I’m proud of the end result. It feels wholly representative of the song as it captures the dizzy confusion I was feeling at the time when I wrote it and I can’t wait for people to see it!"

The same sentiments are echoed by  Aisha Tyler , who adds, "Minke is a stunningly evocative songwriter. Her music is visceral and emotionally intoxicating — dreamlike melodies encircling a razor’s edge. ‘Too Late’ is so intensely captivating that coming up with a visual language for the video was a delight — all I had to do was let her creativity and rock star quality shine through. We had an absolute blast filming a relatively unseen part of Los Angeles; I can’t wait to do it again in the future."

DEBUTS NEW SINGLE “TOO LATE”

Minke reveals the inspiration behind the track: “This was a moment after a bad break up that I needed to get out my system. I was trying to rationalize it and take the high road but knew what had happened was wrong so I was annoyed and reveling in the petty, just for a second. Thank you, next."

“Too Late” comes with the announcement of her highly anticipated forthcoming EP, titled ‘The Tearoom,’ scheduled for release on March 8

RETURNS WITH STUNNING NEW SINGLE, “MAYBE 25”

British singer, songwriter and musician Minke (rhymes with “link”), has returned today with a stunning new single titled “Maybe 25.” Available worldwide on all digital platforms, “Maybe 25” was written about the emptiness of online dating and the hold technology has over us, with an equal amount of humour and disdain, Minke explains. “It was originally inspired by my fleeting past experiences with online dating. As I started to write, it became less and less about that and more a general observation on connection. We’ve never been more connected but disconnected at the same time. It’s made us more insular, less open to having a conversation with a stranger and maintaining eye contact for more than a second without looking at your phone. So it’s about longing for something more than that, whatever that is. Something real in a seemingly disposable world. Questioning if that’s still possible. Questioning if it’s got the better of you too.”

Written by Minke and Rory Andrew (Wynne, ODESZA) who also produced the track, “Maybe 25” follows two previously released singles that quickly ignited an online frenzy surrounding this up-and-coming artist; Her debut, “Gold Angel,” soon earned the hype of Apple’s Zane Lowe & Beats 1, was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Pop Rising, and hit No.1 on Hype Machine twice within the space of two weeks. . The promising London-born artist soon followed with the spectacular “Armour,” a “female empowerment anthem about letting go of your defences and learning how to be vulnerable, especially with those closest to you”. Now, returning with “Maybe 25,” it’s beyond a doubt this exciting new artist is destined to make waves in the musical arena this year.

Minke is currently working on her debut EP and plans to release it this fall as well as tour North America.
