Kicking off a newly minted partnership with Republic Records, Sir Rod Stewart, one of the best-selling artists of all-time and a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Inductee, will join forces with multi-platinum selling group DNCE for the release of a strikingly re-imagined version of one of the most iconic dance tracks of all
time, Stewart's “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.” Stewart and DNCE will serve up “Sexy” for a new generation on Friday, August 25, 2017.
To celebrate the single’s release, Stewart and DNCE will perform “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” for the first time ever at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on August 27th.
Originally released in 1978 on his classic ninth album Blondes Have More Fun, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” stands out as one of his signature songs, peaking at #1 in six countries including the US where it reigned at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart four weeks in February 1979 and was named among Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
