ROLO TOMASSI return with their brilliant, brand new video for 'Aftermath', which you can watch - HERE
"We've been trying to write a song like Aftermath for quite a while. Whilst it may seem like a bit of a departure from the other singles we've released so far from this album, I feel like there has been hints to this melodic side to what we can do across our last few albums. We really tried to push ourselves to the limit with what we can do as a group and I think this song demonstrates another persona we can take on, whilst still remaining true to what we do" - James Spence, ROLO TOMASSI

Chris Cayford, who wrote the song, explains a bit about 'Balancing The Dark':“This song, almost unintentionally, became one of the most unsettling we’ve ever written. I remember the first time we put keys over drone on the intro/outro and it instantly set the tone. To me, it just has this bad atmosphere and gives you a feeling that you’re not quite safe yet. The video is a reflection of that, it’s heavily influenced by Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene & The Sound Of My Voice by Zal Batmanglij both of which install a similar feeling in me.”

A bit on the new album from James Spence (keys and vocals) - "The title was taken from a print a friend of ours had made in tribute to a poem by Richard Brautigan. I knew straight away its what I wanted to call the album. Following something like (previous album) 'Grievances', which was quite monochromatic, I felt this title had a lot more optimism and colour to it which is how I wanted the music to sound. I had the title before we'd even started thinking about writing music and I used it as a sort of brief for how I thought a record with that title should sound. 'Rituals' is only one element to this album which has a lot more to give than just brutally heavy music."
The band also announced a UK tour April 2018, all dates are below they will also play STRANGEFORMs FEST in Leeds on April 8th
