The Big Moon Unleash New Single 'Pull The Other One'

The Big Moon have just released their new single, Pull The Other One, taken from their critically acclaimed debut album Love In The 4th Dimension, which was released in April via Fiction Records.

Pull The Other One is another insatiably guitar and melody driven pop song.

The band will also be embarking on a UK tour this autumn. All dates for their UK tour and remaining summer festival appearances are listed below.

The Big Moon Announce Biggest Tour Yet!

Share a live video recording of their current single, Cupid.

It’s been a hectic eighteen months for London’s The Big Moon. Mapped out largely on the road across the US, Europe, and on repeat tours of the UK, the four-piece have firmly cemented their status as one of Britain’s best new bands, culminating in the release of one of the albums of the year so far, and a string of sold out shows including London’s Village Underground.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut, the band are pleased to announce a new run of 20 dates stretching across the UK throughout September / October. Taking them to previously un-visited parts of the country. Starting in Coventry on the 23rd of September and finishing in London at KOKO on the 20th October - the band’s biggest headline show to date.

Recorded over the past few months by photographer Jodie Canwell, collating the band’s performances of Cupid on Brighton Pier from the band’s recent slot at The Great Escape, at London’s Village Underground and at The Scala, it captures The Big Moon at their scintillating best, and having more fun than anyone else whilst doing it.

Cupid is just one song amongst an entire set of live favourites, and it’s release sets the band up nicely for their forthcoming festival schedule, having kicked it all off to a heaving tent at Glastonbury last month.

Following the Spring release of their critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Love In The 4th Dimension’ (out now via Fiction Records), The Big Moon take to the road across the globe for the foreseeable future, as one of Britain’s most exciting young live propositions.

THE BIG MOON TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM VIA FICTION RECORDS 7TH APRIL

New single 'Sucker' + UK Tour Dates

Love In The 4th Dimension will be released on the 7th April 2017 through Fiction Records.  It was recorded in London throughout the Summer, and co-produced by Catherine Marks and Juliette Jackson.

“We've been playing these songs for two years now, and it's a dream come true to finally immortalise them on record. It's like having eleven tiny babies all at once, all with their own little faces and voices and personalities, and now we're ready to throw them out of our nest and into your ears.”

The album will be released digitally, on CD, and on heavyweight vinyl. Signed copies of the CD, vinyl and limited edition polaroids will be exclusively available to fans through The Big Moon online via the link below

The band have also recently unveiled a new recording of their debut release, Sucker. It is the latest track to be lifted from the forthcoming debut album. It is fitting that the song that arguably started The Big Moon’s colourful story is the one that should be released on the eve of release of their debut album too. A long-standing closer to the London band’s raucous live show, Sucker is arguably the finest example yet of what makes them such an enticing, exciting young British band.

Ahead of a hectic schedule at this year’s SXSW throughout this month, the band recently stopped by the legendary Maida Vale Studios to play a blistering set at this year’s Radio 1 Future Festival. The quartet will return to the UK in April to head off on another full UK tour ahead of a typically busy festival season. Those UK dates kick off in Brighton on the 20th April and conclude in London on the 2nd May at Village Underground.

17/11/16  The Big Moon Announce 2017 UK Tour and Post 'Formidable' Video

The Big Moon announce the video for their new single, Formidable. It is lifted from their forthcoming debut album, Love In the 4th Dimension.

Directed by the band’s long standing collaborator, Louis Bhose. The video was filmed in the heart of the British Peak District.

The Big Moon told us: "Formidable is a song that’s important to us all and it felt like for once, it wasn’t appropriate to make a mega fun, LOLZ video. That said, we didn’t want to make a super earnest band video either. We had a day off in between cities on our autumn tour so we drove to the beautiful Peak District and smashed out the song in the back of the van. It’s a van that we’ve spent more time in than our own beds over the last year. The wonderful Louis Bhose was once again the creative visionary at the helm of this video. We hope you like it”

The Big Moon recently concluded a UK tour (including a momentous sold out show at Scala) and are now on a US tour alongside The Japanese House. To coincide with the new album news, The Big Moon are pleased to announce details of a ten-night run in Spring 2017 – starting in Brighton on the 20th April and concluding in London on the 2nd May at Village Underground.

There is a DICE presale for the UK (not Ireland) only – starting on Wednesday 30th at 9am; tickets on general sale on Friday 2nd December at 9am.

Love In The 4th Dimension will be released digitally, on CD, and on heavyweight vinyl. Signed copies of the CD, vinyl and limited edition polaroids will be exclusively available to fans through The Big Moon online store. www.thebigmoon.co.uk.

17/08/16  The Big Moon reveal video for latest single 'Silent Movie Susie'...

The Big Moon have revealed the hilariously animated video for their infectious new single 'Silent Movie Susie'. The band, made up of Jules, Celia, Fern and Soph will be touring the UK on a headline tour this Autumn, including a date at the Scala in London. They will also be heading out with the Mystery Jets in October.

The NSFW video is a hilarious animation from the band and director Louis Bhose - the same mind behind the paint-throwing carnage of the last video, Cupid. It’s their humour, coupled with the band’s fervent live show that has had them flying through tours and winning over audiences in 2016

The track is released on limited edition 7” vinyl on the 23rd September through Fiction Records, and available now on all digital platforms. It was produced by Catherine Marks at Assault & Battery Studios in London.

Hotly tipped young Brits, The Big Moon, have been taking pit-stops from their endless touring cycle to focus upon their debut album. You would be hard-pressed to miss The Big Moon at a UK festival this Summer though, and with dates still upcoming at End of the Road, By The Sea and more.

This Autumn, the band head back out on the road in support of The Mystery Jets in October, ahead of their own headline tour in November which concludes at The Scala in London on the 3rd November. Their biggest headline show to date. Tickets are available through the links below.

27/06/16  The Big Moon announce new single 'Silent Movie Susie' & UK tour...

The Big Moon have announced details of their new single, Silent Movie Susie.

Silent Movie Susie is released on vinyl on the 25th September through Fiction Records, and available now on all digital platforms. It was produced by Catherine Marks at Assault & Battery Studios in London.
Hotly tipped young Brits, The Big Moon, have been taking pit-stops from their endless touring cycle to record their debut album. New single Silent Movie Susie is a breathless few minutes which proves that all is going very well for Jules, Celia, Fern, and Soph in the studio too.

Silent Movie Susie is a knowing, modern-day blast of leftfield pop, all merciless of hooks and four part harmonies that back Juliette Jackson’s brazen croon. Already a highlight of the band’s fervent live show, this new single, for all its charm and melody, could moonlight as a stunner that Justine Frischmann agonisingly mislaid during the  recording of her band’s debut record.

You would be hard pressed not to have seen The Big Moon on a festival stage this Summer, and they're really letting that live energy and their innate understanding of each other’s strengths shine through into the recording studio. As a follow-up to Cupid, Silent Movie Susie sees The Big Moon taking things up a notch. Time spent on the road with these songs before presenting them behind the glass has stood them in very good stead indeed.

This Autumn, The Big Moon head back out on the road in support of The Mystery Jets in October, ahead of their own headline tour in November which concludes at The Scala in London on the 3rd November.

Their debut album is currently being recorded.
