While She Sleeps announce headline UK shows in February 2018

While She Sleeps’ 2017 has been nothing short of spectacular and 2018 is already shaping up to be another monumental year for the band as they announce a clutch of UK headline shows in February of 2018 with tickets on sale this Friday. The dates - in Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester - will follow a sure-to-be epic gig at London’s Alexandra Palace where the band are main support to Architects on 3rd February.

Sleeps will also be supporting Architects across Europe in Jan/Feb and they’re set to round off this year with a mammoth tour supporting Trivium in the USA, followed by a special hometown headline show at the o2 Academy in Sheffield on 8th December.

2017 has seen While She Sleeps play shows in countries as far flung as Australia and China, as well as a large score of sellout shows on home soil. Plus they’ve been bringing some serious fire to some big festival sets, headlining The Pit at Reading & Leeds and slaying the likes of Hellfest in France and Graspop in Belgium. While She Sleeps

'Silence Speaks' feat. Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon

Special album release shows announced UK Headline Tour in April selling fast!

While She Sleeps have revealed their new single ‘Silence Speaks’, which is the latest killer cut to be taken from their forthcoming third album ‘You Are We’, set for release 21st April. Modern metal at its finest and most explosive, the track, which got its first play on national radio as Mistajam’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, features Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon on guest vocals. It’s another reminder that While She Sleeps are one of the UK’s most exciting heavy bands and serves as a tantalising taster of what’s to come as they gear up to release the new album independent of a record label.

While She Sleeps were putting the finishing touches to ‘You Are We’ throughout recent months, during which they were also touring with Bring Me The Horizon in no less than three different continents. This creative collaboration followed with Oli recording additional vocals for ‘Silence Speaks’, adding a further fervent facet to the composition.

The release of ‘You Are We’ will be accompanied by a full UK tour in April with several shows already selling out. Due to popular demand, several special album release shows have also been added to the While She Sleeps’ touring schedule, tickets for which are on sale now. The band are set to play The Old Blue Last in London on 14th April, Kingston’s Hippodrome on 15th April and Plug in their hometown of Sheffield on 21st April. While She Sleeps reveal title track from forthcoming album 'You Are We'

UK Headline Tour in April In Hearts Wake* and Fizzy Blood announced as support:

While She Sleeps have revealed the title track from their forthcoming third album ‘You Are We’. It’s a statement of intent that is indicative of the record as a whole. The full album is set for release on 21st April, 2017. The release of ‘You Are We’ will be accompanied by a full UK tour in April with several shows already selling out. Support has also just been announced for the tour, as In Hearts Wake* and Fizzy Blood join the bill. See below for details.

While She Sleeps have already revealed two tantalizing tasters from ‘You Are We’, in the form of the anthemic ‘Hurricane’, and the visceral social commentary of ‘Civil Isolation’.

Made with Carl Bown, who also produced ‘Brainwashed’, the songs that comprise ‘You Are We’ are full of as much force, focus and determination as ever. The songs within continue the band’s trajectory as one of the most inspiring, riotous and important voices in British music today, demonstrating both their continued musical evolution and their incisive social conscience. Yet while these are brutal anthems that paint a vivid picture of a post-Brexit Britain, they stand as both the most universal and most personal songs of the band’s career.

21/11/16 While She Sleeps reveal 'You Are We' album details // UK Tour // New single & music video

Sheffield’s While She Sleeps have announced that their forthcoming third album is titled ‘You Are We’ and it’s set for release on 21st April, 2017. Currently on tour in Europe with the behemoth that is Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps have also announced a UK headline tour throughout April and May of 2017 in order to bring their new music to their loyal and dedicated fanbase up close and personal.

The latest track to be revealed from the forthcoming record is the anthemic ‘Hurricane’, for which a video is also now streaming and is viewable below.

While She Sleeps have chosen a fitting way to celebrate their tenth anniversary as a band – by becoming totally independent. It's a bold, impressive and powerful move that both reflects the decade gone by and hints at what the future has to offer. The band converted an empty warehouse in the heart of their native Sheffield into their own multi-purpose studio. It’s not the first time they’ve had their own space – 2010’s debut EP ‘The North Stands For Nothing’ was recorded at a home studio called The Barn – but with this new space, which was built with the band’s own money, they’ve taken things to the next level. “There’s always been a very DIY aspect to this band,” explains vocalist Lawrence ‘Loz’ Taylor, “so going it alone a bit more now just reiterates that to everyone. The Barn was a very important place for us – it’s where we grew as friends and it was where we hung out and could be creative – so the idea with this new space is that it gives us a lot more creative space. There’s a studio and live room, and we have space now to achieve what we want to achieve as a band. This place is going to house us for a good few years.”

It’s also a place where the band aim to break down the barrier even more between themselves and their fan base. As part of the new record’s PledgeMusic campaign, fans were able to head to the studio and take part in the video for ‘Hurricane’. “That was absolutely crazy,” beams Taylor. “I’m still aching from that! But the special thing is that every kid who came down for the video shoot actually helped make the album happen. And to that extent they made this warehouse capable of living.” “Now more than ever,” adds Sean Long (guitar), “our fans know that it’s them making all of this possible for us. The divide between artist and fan is ridiculous, because there are no fans without the artist and there’s no artist without the fans. They go hand in hand together as one absolute thing, and I really like that we can see that in play with what we’ve been doing. It’s very reassuring to see that support right in front of us.”

Made with Carl Bown, who also produced ‘Brainwashed’, the songs that comprise ‘You Are We’ are full of as much force, focus and determination as ever. The likes of ‘Hurricane’ and first single ‘Civil Isolation’ continue the band’s trajectory as one of the most inspiring, riotous and important voices in British music today, demonstrating both their continued musical evolution and their incisive social conscience. Yet while these are brutal anthems that paint a vivid picture of a post-Brexit Britain, they stand as both the most universal and most personal songs of the band’s career.

As they put the finishing touches to their third album, Sheffield’s While She Sleeps have announced a double header of intimate London shows at The Dome in Tufnell Park on 22nd and 23rd April. Sure to be two deliciously sweaty and riff-fuelled affairs, these shows will be amongst the first chances to hear new material from the band up close and personal.

The first recorded taster from While She Sleeps’ next chapter was recently revealed in the form of ‘Civil Isolation’, a visceral new track, which has propelled the band’s new endeavor. In order to fund the record’s creation and release, a PledgeMusic campaign was launched and the goal amount set was blasted through within a mere two weeks - a testament to While She Sleeps’ dedicated and loyal fanbase.

The forthcoming album is being crafted by the band and producer Carl Bown (who they also worked with on ‘Brainwashed’) in a warehouse in the industrial heart of Sheffield which the band themselves have transformed into a home for the creation and cultivation of their musical exploits.
